I mentioned that I was using a training program setup using the Nike+ app, well I can safely say that went out the window fairly quickly, not because it wasn't any good, it just wasn't working for us, we weren't always able to get out on training days, etc. it was just a little strict for us, but that doesn't mean I stopped running, far from it, I still had the same goal of being able to run a decent 5km.
Back in high school I used to run everything up to 1500m, with my personal best being 6 minutes 32 seconds, which I was very proud of. Well, since high school my running has pretty much become non-existent, barely being able to run 200 metres without being out of breath and having to sit down, well, for far too long this has been the case, so I've been getting involved with digiHike, an outdoor social event for geeks, which so far has taken myself to Edale and Hebden Bridge.
